According to Medela.com, in light of research linking bisphenol A (BPA) to health problems, Medela, the world’s leading manufacturer of breast pumps, issued a reminder that its breast shields and breast milk collection containers, which come into direct contact with breast milk have always been made of polypropylene, a durable BPA-free plastic.
