Going Green Means You Might want to Rid Your Body of Certain Plastic Chemicals

The National Geographic’s The Green Guide reports that soft PVC, a plastic used in many “teething” toys, contains phthalates, which have allegedly been implicated with children’s asthma and reproductive and developmental harm in animals and some humans. Further, polycarbonate plastic, used in clear baby bottles, allegedly contain a chemical known as bisphenol A (BPA), which has been reportedly been shown to migrate from warm or heated bottles into contained liquids.
