According to a Chicago Tribune blog, The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, an industry trade group, wants concerned parents to know that a group organized by the National Toxicology Program has found no serious concern of adverse health risks from bisphenol A, an ingredient in plastic commonly used to make baby bottles. The Tribune, however, reports that the panel did indeed find that there is “some concern that exposure to the chemical bisphenol A in utero causes neural and behavioral effects,” according to the draft report prepared by The National Toxicology Program (NTP) Center for the Evaluation of Risks to Human Reproduction.
