Some Plastic Bottles Get “Eco-Boot”

MACLEANS reports some plastic bottles are getting the “eco-boot” as consumers are turning to metal bottles for a “safer, greener—and cooler—way to hydrate.” The consumer change reportedly comes from studies that have found a chemical in the polycarbonate plastic, bisphenol A (BPA), may cause reproductive abnormalities, neurological disorders, prostate cancer and pre-cancerous breast tissue.
