A Follow Up Report from “Are Plastic Bottles Safe?” Segment

In response to the April 9, 2008 “Today Show” segment “Are Plastic Bottles Safe?” the “Today Show” aired a follow up segment about harmful vs. non-harmful plastics. According to the segment, plastic food and beverage containers with the numbers three, six, and seven, may contain chemicals that in rat studies, have been linked to cancer and other problems. The potential harmfulness of such chemicals is reportedly still unknown for humans.
