Makers of Glass and Steel Benefit from Plastic Woes

The “New York Times” reports although Canada’s decision to label the plastic chemical bisphenol A (BPA) as toxic has created headaches for some makers of baby bottles, sports water bottles and other food and beverage containers, other companies are profiting from the decision, including makers of stainless steel and glass. Owens-Illinois, Inc. (O-I) has resumed producing glass infant feeding bottles for the first time in 20 years.
