Drinking Tap Water is In

“Bloomberg News” reports drinking tap water is in, and eventually, truly eco-friendly establishments will stop offering bottled water to patrons. Americans reportedly consume more than 30 billion liters of bottled water annually, according to Pacific Institute, an environmental research group, and the plastic alone takes 17 million barrels of oil to produce, and generates 2.5 million tons of carbon dioxide. Also, a reported 20 percent of those 900,000 tons of plastic is recycled, while the rest ends up in landfills or, increasingly, the oceans.
