According to “USA Today,” a new report released by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics finds fewer controversial hormone-like chemicals, such as phthalates (which may leach into products from plastic containers), in personal care products. Environmentalists have urged manufacturers to phase out phthalates because of studies that link them to genital changes in baby boys, reduced sperm counts in men and early puberty in girls.
