Several States Consider BPA Bans Despite FDA Stance on the Chemical

The “Milwaukee Journal Sentinel” reports while the U.S. Food and Drug Administration struggles with its assessment of the safety of bisphenol A (BPA), several states, including California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan and Minnesota, are considering their own bans. While the proposals vary slightly, each state is calling for the chemical to be banned in products aimed at young children.
