Movement in Congress to Ban BPA from Food and Beverage Containers

According to the “Wall Street Journal,” there’s a movement in Congress to ban the chemical bisphenol A (BPA), which has been linked to breast and prostate cancers and reproductive problems in animals, from food and beverage containers. Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Rep. Edward Markey reportedly introduced similar bills last month to ban the chemical from all food and beverage containers, and Sen. Charles Schumer more recently introduced a bill that would ban it from food and beverage containers for infants and toddlers.
