Crown Packaging Spokesperson Denies Efforts to Mislead Public about BPA

Acording to the “New Britain Herald” (Conn.), a spokesperson for Crown Packaging Corporation is denying efforts on the part of packaging, beverage and food manufacturers to use fear tactics, political manipulation and misleading marketing to fight regulation of bisphenol A (BPA). However, Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal believes the industry plans to mislead the public about the dangers of BPA, a chemical used in certain food containers, including infant formula, posing significant health risks to children.
