The “Milwaukee Journal Sentinel” believes the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) announcement that it is working to remove bisphenol A (BPA) from infant formula cans and baby bottles “seems tepid,” and BPA should be removed from all products intended for children as well as adults. The FDA said it would support industry actions to stop producing baby bottles that contain BPA and infant feeding cups for the American market, help the industry find alternatives to BPA in infant formula cans and support efforts to replace or minimize BPA in other food can linings.
