NIEHS Spends $20 Million to Study BPA; Launches 11 New Animal Studies

According to “Reuters,” the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) has launched 11 new animal studies to investigate the possible effects of bisphenol A (BPA), NIEHS director Linda Birnbaum told Congress. NIEHS is reportedly spending $20 million to study the substance, widely used in food containers.
